This is an album cover redesign. I redesigned Sawdust by The Killers, released in 2007.
When creating this design, I thought about the sensations and emotions transmitted by the songs and how nostalgic it is to me nowadays after listening to it for more than a decade. I wanted to give it a modern feel, but preserve some of the elements present in the original version, such as the hand and wood.
The inspiration behind this design is the actual music from the album. I listened to it on repeat while creating this piece and it was an interesting journey since I haven’t listened to this album in almost 2 years. I thought about the colors that came to my mind while listening to it and the meaning behind some of the lyrics.
